ABOUT BARNSTORMERS
The Bitterroot Barnstormer RC club was organized in 1987. We are an AMA chartered club. You must be an AMA member to be an active club member.
We have a flying site located about 1 mile South of Victor, Montana off Meridian Road and Totem View Drive.
To get to the field, Turn West off of Hwy 93 at the Linley Cabinets sign (immediately at the sign, Linley's approach is on one side and the approach to go to our field is on the other side), turn left on Meridan Road and proceed South about 300 feet to Totem View Drive. Turn right on Totem View Drive and proceed West approximately 1500 +- feet to the field entrance on the left. Our clubhouse and the wind sock are visible from Hwy 93.
Our membership averages approximately 25 to 30 members from year to year. Our membership ages range from about 10 years old to 80+ years young with both male and female members. We encourage youthful memberships as well as adults. We have about 15 members who are very active in flying, the rest come and go throughout the year as they have the time or the inclination.
We have a diversified active membership, they fly anything from Backyard electrics, Electric Gliders, Electric Old Timers, Nitro Trainers, Old Timers, Sport Planes, Gas Sport, Ducted Fan jets and Autogyros.
Everyone is welcome to come and spectate or participate.
We have Club trainer planes and Buddy Boxes for training new pilots, or to let someone try it to see if they would like it.
Weather permitting (and it has to be quite bad for no one to show) we fly every Saturday and Sunday regularly throughout the year. Hours are usually from 10:00 am until ???pm. Good weather and pleasant days with a good turnout can last to 4:00pm on some days.
