Steve P. Mealy's credentials:

Steve MealeyConsulting AdministratorBoone and Crockett Club Steve was born and raised in Western Oregon. He comes from a family who homesteaded there in the early days. He has a Political Science Degree from the University of Oregon, a Forestry Degree from the University of Idaho and a Masters Degree in Wildlife Management from Montana State University.

Before joining the U.S. Forest Service in 1977, Steve was an Air Force Intelligence Officer, an outfitter/guide in Idaho's Salmon River Country and a grizzly bear researcher in the Yellowstone and Bob Marshall Country. From 1967 to 1971,

Steve lived in Salmon with his wife Marty and their children and operated Nez Perce Outfitters and Guides with his partner Val Johnson. They bought their outfit in 1967 from Wayne England. Steve retired from the Forest Service in 1997.  He and Marty now live in Missoula.
